Lecturers were detained

Lecturers Hasmik Melikyan and Rafik Kroyan of Vanadzor State Pedagogical Institute were detained for bribery. Technical secretary H. Melikyan of the admission commission was caught red-handed while taking bribe. She also received a thousand USD from each of three parents of institute entrants to have their marks improved. H. Melikyan passed the money to R. Kroyan, the executive secretary of the commission. A criminal case was opened against them.
