The 4th Anti-Corruption School was launched in Yerevan on November 19 with the participation of young people from Syunik, Vayots Dzor, Gegharkunik, Ararat and Armavir.

USAID Mission Director John G. Allelo was the honorary guest of the 4th Anti-Corruption School opening ceremony. During the interactions with the participants, Mr. Allelo emphasized the importance of youth involvement and non-formal education in the fight against corruption.

Larry Held, Chief of Party of the Armenia Integrity Project, was also among the guests of the Anti-corruption 4th school. He presented the activities of the Integrity Project, as well as possible collaboration opportunities.

The six-day training course consists of extensive content, particularly focusing on key anti-corruption topics, such as methods of measuring corruption, anti-corruption policy, integrity, reporting systems, corruption in state and local self-government bodies.

Within the framework of the school, the participants get acquainted with the anti-corruption tools, such as whistleblowing, public monitoring, investigative and other mechanisms. In addition to the area specific knowledge, the school aims to develop leadership skills of the participants.

The educational program is made possible by the support of the American People through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) within the framework of the “Engaged Citizenry for Responsible Governance” project implemented by Transparency International Anticorruption Center (TIAC).
