Description
Several human rights NGOs have published a joint opinion addressing the draft law of the Republic of Armenia "On State Secrets," submitted to the National Assembly on 04.11.2022. The opinion highlights that the draft law, in several aspects, does not align with advanced international practices and standards, and contains risks of disproportionately restricting the right to freedom of information.
As a result, the NGOs propose reviewing several legal provisions within the draft and redrafting them accordingly.
