Description
The study's purpose is to support the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Anticorruption Committee in strengthening institutional anti-corruption mechanisms in Armenia by improving the performance of the country’s primary specialized anti-corruption law enforcement body and enhancing the effectiveness of preventing, detecting, and prosecuting corruption-related crimes.
The assessment of the Anti-Corruption Committee’s capacities and performance is based on the requirements defined by the Law of the Republic of Armenia “On the Anticorruption Committee,” the RA Criminal Procedure Code, and other sectoral laws that regulate the functions and powers assigned to the Committee. Based on these requirements, Transparency International’s “Anti-Corruption Agencies Strengthening” (ACAs Strengthening) tool was localized and applied.
